k11 cg10 idler sprocket.

Just replaced timing chain and sprockets but noticed the idler sprocket has a pin that I presume is used by the cam sensor. The new idler sprocket was missing this pin and wondering what effect this may have before we get it all back together again.

the pre-coilpack (pre 2000) ones have no camsensor spike, if yours is the coilpack type (post 2000) you will need that pin

Thanks frank is it a no go without it. It is a 2001.

it will probably run in limp mode spike (with the eml flashing)
your old idler will probably suffice eh (my old super s one was still servicable even tho the top chain had one link hanging by a thread )
