K10 speedo help

Borrowed from a quickdraw thread :)

Firstly unscrew the surround
2 * philips screws under the lip either side of the steering wheel

then remove the dial
4 * philips screw dotted in all 4 corner of the surrounding case

then place your hand round the back of the dial cluster and un-clip the speedo cable and 2 connectors.

completely remove the dials.

I think he means an external speedo, one that goes past 100mph

....he wont be able to see it if it's outside surely?.....

Unplug the Speedo cable, tape new Speedo to a solid object ie gaffa tape it to the Dash board, plug in speedo cable...off you go :)

my bad oops lol i ment a Rev counter haha i just been rushing about this morning ( got an infraction for this thread Thanks arnold! )

Ooooh right...

one wire to the + side of the battery (red)
another to the - side or earth (black)
and the last one should go to the + side of the coil :)

Yours might be a 4 wire though

I guessing the negitive side of the coil...but dont quote me on that...;)

Some even have a illumination wire, which goes into the light switch circuit so it knows when to light up with the rest of the lights :)
