cant remember mate, the matiz front springs are smaller at the bottom tho
most of my wheels are just reversed/flipped mate, but the wider ones are one and a half wheels rather than banded (only 1 weld needed then)
and yes they were matiz front legs (the coilies were far too stiff)

just a grinder with a 1mm slitting discDo you have a jig or something for doing these? Or a colossal lathe!?
Ive just ran in to some money
Should've ducked.hope you didnt hurt yourself
best to swap the topmount, leave the spring and drop the perch to where you want it really
I should of asked where you put said perch.
Frankly this looks cool but I can't even turn lock to lock hahahaha.
I'm running 165/60 R14s though. How low do you think I could go profile wise and narrower?
too many variables really, i used jubilee clips to adjust the perch personally, then wrapped a strip of steel around when i was happy with the height (1 side was about 40mm, the other was about 30mm iirc) and and then welded it to the perch and lower bracket (not the thin shock tube)Anyone any experience with this?
Mate, I meant to ask you about this!!! Me and a mate are very interested in doing a course like this, especially for the price that it was, and we said we could drive up and go to it when the next one comes along. Me and my mate would almost certainly come along to the next one, as its something I would really like to do I reckon lol.
you are gonna run out of shocker travel, mine would bottom-out on really big potholes, i shaved some rubber from the bumpstop to help avoid itI'm thinking about making a spacer for the top of the strut to space it off rather than adjust again...should work right?

software glitch on the quoting ehWhy can't I copy and paste on android when writing messages! Forgot to quote sorry!

have you welded the perch already then ?
aye, this sort of thing eh (these are £32 on ebay), but once you,re happy with the height you should,nt need to re-adjust reallyYeah sadly! I'd probably get away with 10mm and some tyre stretch. Try that first before I go welding again! Be ideal for a diy coilover though this system! Mk2 escorts do a similar thing where you buy the threaded coilover section and modify the perch and fit 2 threaded sections.
