Thought it was about time i started my blog for my k10 project!

As some of you might no already i bought quickdraws mat black k10 ls off him for £350, i was intending on using it for a k11 1.3 16v engine conversion! But at the same time quickdraw was selling his Simmo was selling his red 1 litre ls k10 aswell.

i had been uming and aring about it for a couple of days and after speaking to curts i decided to use quickdraws mat black k10 as an everyday car and start the project on Simmo's red one instead!

this is how it looked when i got it back from liverpool,

This is also the mat black micra as requested!

I am aware that there might be a small amount of chalk ont he side of the car aswell lol

yea lol i was going to spray the inside aswell but seeing as im only using it as a run around i might aswell not bother

Haha we had fun chalking up the black one...i think my 2.2l turbo is believable..

glad to see you doing some work on it!

did what it needed for me, needed it as a runaround, so never got chance to even think about sorting it out. lol

but then i gone past my day of really caring to much about standard micra's now, it did its purpose, and did it well, i just made sure the engine was in tip top condition..

yea thats all the purpse for me at the mo aswell! its actually pritty fun to drive with the standard suspension! lots of body roll lol

Also i have bought some KYB Gas shocks and 35 mm springs for the micra but hopefully in the near future it will be k11 coils on the front and mk2 golf coils on the rear

currently the car stands as this:

1 litre ls engine only has 50k
super s bumpers/sideskirts
super s dials
15 inch alloys

and i think that is about it at the mo!

but hopefully i want this to happen:

1.3 16v K11 conversion (turbo eventually)
coilovers all round
Foah body kit (i think its called that, well the one like curtis' anyway)
new cobra daytona buckets
New roof lineing,door cards front/rear,carpet etc
sport exhaust and manifold
full tints
touch up on all the paint work
alloys respray white
uprated brakes (pulsar hopefully)
uprated everything fuel lines,brake pipes etc
K11 hubs


thats about it for the major mods then just little bits like cd playes,steering wheel etc

My KYB Gas shocks and 35 mm lowering springs arrived today hopefully get them on sometime this week even though im working nights lol

i did get the full set just used one as an example lol

Nice to see you've got a blog going, will be good to see what you do with the car! The front bumper isn't a Super S one, it's Foah btw... and the rear bumpers just a sprayed standard one.

well a little bit of an update! now have acess to a garage so i can keep my tools and stuff in! need to look for a 1.3 16v engine now! plus car is fully stripped out apart fropm the dash board! i will get some pics posted up today

Hes gonna have to get a new axel or cut and re-weld it...lol

Becuase simmo the pevious owner had raised the rear by cutting and inserting steel tubing into the axel :S

Its ok tho, hes planning on getting coilovers, therefore it will be slammed

This car is a very good base for the 1.3 coversion tho, the shell is tidy as

Looks like the two fastest k10s in the club will be in Evesham (when its built)

yer need a new rear axle! and i might aswell referbish it when i get one! hopefully mk2 golf coilys for rear an k11 coilys for front! but that will be after the engine is in up and running, for now my 35mm lowerings springs and my kybs will do!

The back was raised about an inch when I first bought the alloys that came with the car. They were pretty fat wheels so they rubbed like mad. Baisicly my dad got up one morning and decided he was gonna jack the back up and he did! lol. Apparently that what they did when he was younger... I was never very keen myself but i just went along with it! Whats with the black bonnet and grill?

Right well the time has come were i have another micra k10 (making 3 now) the other 2 got sold before i joined up in the forces!

As was advertised in littlewoods for sale thread, i bought his silver k10 off him for £250!

all was need was a new gearbox and a tidy up genrally!

So the first thing i did was set about cleaning the carpets to get 20 odd years of grit and dirt out of them! so i power washed them on my washing line lol

With carpet out ready to wash them and floor looking spotless to be honest!

You can see the state of the door cards aswell which i will come to mention in a bit

wil get some pics up of the carpet bk in the car looking nice and clean!

also becuase the door cards were held together with celotape in some parts lol i made some custom door cards and covered them in leather!

I also screwed the door cards back onto the door because i wanted to minimize the rattling in the car

Took all the stickers off the inside of the door and the pillar! Not really to my liking and took ages standing outside with a hairdryer to get them off!

Also re sprayed the interior rearview mirror because it was pink (with black marker on the back lol)

Well as everybody does i thought i would get some future plans up!

Front coilovers polo 6n (like ryans satin blue k10)
Rear uprated springs and shocks -60mm maybe
New paint job satin black
Put old black bumpers front and back, which means the bumper on it will be for sale soon!
Some nice 13/14 inch dished alloys, i quite ike the izuzu piazza turbo wheels
Camo style dashboard
Camo headlineing
Retro seats (maybe leather) hopefully with heated pads, thinking off mx5 seats because they have the speaker pods int he head rest
Deep dish steeringwheel

really just cosmetic at the moment because i still need to have engine reliablity

some of you will notice that ive gather inspiration of ryan (rtlkyuubi)

not trying to copy and am trying to make it different back hopefuly will be working along the same lines
