igniation barrel fault

hi All, My igiation barrel on my 1998 micra has now got a fault & that when I take the key out of the lock the light come on again on the dashboard and I have to disconnect the battery on the + terminal just to mske sure that the engine is out. Is it the switch( being 24 years old) or something else? yours Peter Rowley

Hi I was facing the same issue as well! I guess it can be the issue of the switching. rip wheeler jacket

Id start with trying a new switch. Its mounted on the back of the barrel and they cost like 10 pounds
