Honking/Chirping noise?!

Hi,
I've very recently bought a 53 nissan micra k12 and I love it! but when I turn the ignition on there is often a short honking/chirping/beeping sort of noise that literally lasts a few seconds...does any one know what this could be? The car drives perfectly and just had a new battery fitted

Mmm... maybe you have very sensitive ears, the IPDM (I presume it's that) does make a few odd noises when the igniton is switched to the on position on both of mine .

It's when the engine starts so would that make sense?...sorry a little new to the car world haha! Thanks for your help
