Hill Climb

Took the Micra out for a run on Sunday at Jack's Hill hillclimb here in Perth. No trophy but was fastest under 2L car in small field so was happy with performance. John from Tenagagh Motorsports (who's doing some head work on White Knight soon) took out the day, so he can drive as well as spanner a car!

Hard to see how steep that hill was from an inboard camera.

These are up the side of a volcano on a narrow steep windy road.

Our mountains would be your hills, our hills your mounds! So no, it's not on par with the race to the sky at Cadrona in NZ. But it is Australia's longest permanent hillclimb course and it's elevation would be a few hundred metres. Its used as a soapbox derby track in the other direction so it's a tough walk going up the hill.

The Domain Hill Climb looks like it would be a fantastic event to enter.
