Help with me Audio

Looking for a nice sound system in my k10, something good quality, good power and good price. iv been looking at local places like Halfords, Motorworld, argos, lol, but i have no ideas. Im looking for a head unit under £100 and speakers and sub for same again. Have i any hope. please give me some answers.

Pioneer look a good make and im getting interested in them, what you think. please help.

i think pioneer are good, aswell as blaupunkt, jvc and others. Last time i looked you wont get too much for under £100 quid in terms of a decent headunit tho.

Firstly I would advise upping your budget if your serious or look for second hand items.

£100 for HU will buy you a basic setup, but you won't get much for your money. You can pick up some excellent HU's for around £200.

Again a budget of £100 won't buy you much in the way of speakers and subs. £100 on each on these will get you some decent budget equipment though.

I recommend saving for a bit longer and then purchase what you want.

looks alright but you could probably get MP3 playback for a bit more aswell, which is really useful if your like me and have about 30 odd CDs worth of music in your glove box...

Also another thing to note is pre out's. That unit only has one pre out which will only allow one amp to be connected to it. I guess like you say you only want a small simple system.

Yeah sure I know what your saying, so once did I. I'm now running a system consisting of Rainbow front components, Pioneer for rear fill powered by a Genesis profile 4, delivering a 1100w rms through an Orion sub powered by a Directed 1100d

and yes I started very small with some pioneer front speakers and an old awia tape hu lol! I would go for something that gives you the option of expanding the system if you so wish to choose so at a later date.
