rite boys, i think i must have the ####test k11 here. yet again the passion wagon gave up on me today. went to start it today and it was crankin over, but wasn't firing and it was flooding. so i checked for spark and found that it was only firnig on 1 cylinder. so i took the distrubutor cap of, (and whilst doin that i snapped one of the 5.5mm studs holding the casing on), so i squirted some wd40 in the cap and put it back on and it was still the same. so i ended up changing the plugs and was sorted, sort of. i found out that one of the boys thought he was bein helpful and put half a gallon of ####in diesel in the tank. i drained the tank (which only had diesel in it cos the thing has been on the red for the lsat three months and had startin chuggin). rite so now i topped up the thing wit petrol, and it idles lovely but theres only a huge flat spot in the thing on the low end of revs, it takes about 2 seconds for it to rev up, any ideas lads.

May need to change the fuel filter, urm other than that i wouldnt know, maybe try a few full tanks of fuel to clear it out properly before you do anything more.

found the problem lads.....it is the distributor unit, with the coil built in. well apparently thats a common fault. and i had a specialist to have a look at it, so £25 for a second hand unit. then hopefully she will run.

I had the same problem on my mum in laws 1.0l this week, I changed the dizzy and there you go, a big fat spark, you got one cheap for £25, I got charged £40, that was the cheapest I could find.

rite fellas fitted the second hand dizzy unit....and it still dont work. any ideas. its overfuellin. all the timing is rite and i got the spark timed bang on. but still throwing the fuel in. bit of a spin out. i've gotta trace back the fuel line now and check for blocks in the return pipe, otherwise its the ecu. wat you reckon. any ideas.

try cleaning out the throttle body with carb cleaner, and i take it for granted that the air filters clean, so the engine can breathe, if theres a spark at the plugs i doubt very much that the ecu's gone down, try making sure that all the relevent dizzy connections are clean and tight, and that any inhibitor relays and relative fuses are ok, good luck to you.

rite well, done as sonic said but still the same. so i took the rail of and connected all the solenoids back up and turned it over and found that all the solenoids on the rail are openin at the same time. i've got some guy lookin at the ecu at the mo, but so far he cant find anything. well confused bout it. i've changed the dizzy unit, throttle body and engine coolant temprature switch. its really startin to do my nut in. im dying for some help fellas. any other advice.
