Hello All & A Quick Q

Hello all, i'm Phil & I drive a 1999 1.0 16v Micra.

I have a problem which has just recently started on the car. When it rains over night and I go to start the car on a morning it will not start. The fuel pump kicks in but the car just turns over without firing up. I go back after a couple of hours and the car will fire up first time. The car will bump start but is very sluggish until slightly warmed up. I have checked all the leads and they seem to be OK, the battery is pulling 9V so that is OK too.
Car has had a recent full service including plugs in Feb.

1999 Micra 1.0L 16v on an S plate.

Any help would be appreciated.

it sounds like you,ve got damp getting into the dizzy cap or leads phil, try some anti-damp spray stuff

Cheers bud. I'll try that. Should I spray inside the cap?

You have what sounds like the outset of a problem i had with my 1999 1.0. It was the distributor, it's a common fault but a cheap fix. You can obtain a complete distributor from a scrap yard for £20 (that's what i paid).
