i had a head skimmed many moons ago and thought i,d tart it up a bit :grinning:
it was at least a 2mm skim coz the little square boss (ringed) is about 1.5 to 2mm below the head face

the flycutter they used left a bit of coarse surface, so i had to lap the face dead flat with a sheet of plate glass and some grinding paste
then i had to clean up the ports which had been opened up years ago.

it should give me a c/r of about 11:1 which is supposed to be ideal for gas, which thrives on high c/r and spark advance
