GTiR calipers

For sale a set of GTiR calipers as what was on the ST this weekend. They are in need of an overhaul, for this reason they are for sale for only £25 inc postage etc..

All you would need other than these to do the conversion is a set of GTIR disks.

How easy is this conversion to do on a k10?? Would it involve using k11 hubs??

yes you would need to do something like that.

quick question.. im running GTI-R brakes on my car, is it normal for them to start to rub-catch when the disk gets a lip on them?

you need new disks if they have a lip thats causing that.

Ed, they have only been on 6 mths. surely they'll be replaced for free?

take the lip off - get a flat head screwdriver and grind it off.

If the lip is a fair few mm then new disks might be in order.

Ed - you mentioned the calipers need work - if you mind me asking what kind of work?

Ive not looked one is semi siezed, needs a new rubber seal and greasing at least, the other one is ok. I've not inspected further as I just changed them for another set I had.

Stu, if they really are 6 months old from brand new and you have anything more than a tiny lip you have some issues there!!!

what are the chances of the calipers bending??grr im heavy footed on the brakes.before i did the pulsar brakes.i went through 4 sets of pads and a set of shoes in under 30k miles!(from new) micra disks were fine tho.

You wont bend pulsar calipers.
