grr heatshield

had my car done at the garage today. new bootlid on. they also moved my back box into its normal position again. problem is now it is blowing really bad for some reason. also i asked them to do the heatshield but when i turned the engine on there it was. i was furious they havent even done it. can someone give me a step by step on how to do it? im just going to do it myself.

can someone move this into k11 forum i put it here by mistake sorry

Could be that they didnt use jointing paste to reseal the back box after they moved it? And which heatshield are we talking about? The one covering the dog, or the one covering the frontpipe?

I guess the second cat heatshield you mean? The one under the gearstick area?

Take it out! Only 3 or 4 bolts iirc.

the heat shield on the centre cat tends to rattle, mine does but its not that bad..the one on my black micra got removed as it useed to rattle alot! if you wang my gear stick around in nuetral it makes the heat shield rattle

if you are reffering to the mid cat heat shield and if you want to keep it on, a hammer is a useful tool...as theres only a little bit that seems to get in the way.
