Gears feel clunky...

Hi all.

Gears feel clunky on my micra 2002 k11. Any ideas what could cause this issue? Thanks in advance

Clunky how? Could be a few things.

Apparently gear box oil needs to be changed every 100,000 miles or so.

Could also be the gear linkages, or engine mounts going.

Car done 30800 miles. I spoke to 2 different mechanics both think I need a new gear box. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to scrap the car.

Id start with fresh fluid and grease the linkage.

Hi sorry, just seen this thank you for your reply.

The gear fluid was changed, gears being checked again tomorrow (Tuesday) will see what mechanic thinks after he has drove.

Do these boxes have a filter?
