gearbox on 1.3

Hi folks jus wondering ive been offered a 1.3 engine for my micra but doesnt come with a box, now this is only a temporary thought but would the gearbox off my 1.0 be sufficient enough to cope with the extra grunt

is the gearing ration on 1 1.0l box differnt to a 1.3l, sounds stupid question, as i'd imagine it is, but what sort of difference is there?

not a lot oli, 3.9 : 1 and 4.05 : 1 iirc

cheers mate. i am thinking about a 1.3 lump. but, wasnt sure wether to change the box , or keep the 1.0l one.....

no, just the engine manny
