Gear top blot thing

how do i remove these as i need to for my new short shift? the blot things>

you dont

undo the linkage from underneath the car, theres the through bolt for the actual gear leaver and some (cant remember exact number) bolts holding the whole thing to the car, once these are off the gear lever will drop out from underneath. The rubber gaiter in that pic stays put also.

yea done that but i have to take cat off to unblot the stick 2 screws undernif but the dam things rust as owt no where will come off apart from manifold and thats hard 2
