Fuel Consumption too High !!!!

I have a k12 micra on a 04 plate, I find the fuel consumption has is abnormal! I put £10 a day and I go back and from work about 12 miles and leave my car on to warm up in the morning. It is a 1.2. Any ideas?

How ontop of servicing are you? oil filter, oil condition and air filter? They need a lookin at .

Aye, its always worth a check, also make sure your tyres are up to the recommended pressure (some peoples do a tad more sometimes).

It will use more to warm up in the morning than it will to drive the distance. Try driving it a little more gently at first instead of the warm up and compare.

So true, less than 2 gallons now!

Is the 1 litre engine less thirsty? Mine's only a 1 litre and it doesn't seem to be very economical, mainly because you've got to rev the nuts off it to get it up to go anywhere!
