2009 K12 1.2 Auto - Fuel Consumption

Dear All,
Appreciate some assistance please.
I have a 2009 K12 1.2 Auto
I note that the fuel consumption is quite poor especially for a small car.
I average around 33mpg (as per the display) driving in the city and a full tank costs me around £50 giving me 165 miles from full to empty.
Car is regularly serviced, I even cleaned the throttle body and recalibrated it.
My mind is pointing towards the coolant temperature and air/fuel mixture.
Car is not overheating or anything like that.
Tyre pressure is as per the spec and no excessive weight kept in car.
Appreciate any advice on what to check.... especially any sensors which could be prone to cause high fuel consumption.
Thank you

Just for info, I replaced the coolant temp sensor which has improved the fuel consumption a bit. Used the attached workshop instructions to test the old sensor which was usefu

The 2009 engine cooling water thermostat may be age related tardy & thus merits similar testing to ensure that its working within original specs or replacing with a higher max temp stat?

This is often overlooked due to many K12 Micras lacking a proper dashboard active engine temp display indicator.

Good luck hunting
