fibre glassing - quick question

i have made a fibre glass model in the shape of a cube, how can i get a smooth surface finish on the outside of the shape as i had the mould on the inside and the outside is lumpy with matting.

should i sand this or fill it? or something else?

do both mate filler then sand till your happy with it

As long as the laminate is thick enough i would use an angle grinder with a flap wheel. (breathing protection madatory) to smooth it out as best as possible. Follow this with filler applied with a long flat rule or something to get a nice even finish.
Finally use a random orbital sander or by hand (masochist?) to get that perfect result.
