Here's a relatively cheap and quick mod to provide more light out the front of your K11 by automatically turning on the front fog lights at the same time as full beam.
It is a little controversial as some think it is not lawful to do - I cannot find any such law.
I did it on previous Primeras and they passed MOTs with no comment and didn't attract the attention of the boys in blue, anyway, here' how to do it - I'm not advocating you should - use the information as you feel fit and decide yourselves if it's for you.
FYI - This procedure was carried out on a phase 1 facelift K11 1.0GX 1998 with retrofitted front fogs and rev counter clocks:
Tools and parts required:
PH2 screwdriver
Wire cutters
Diode - 1N4001 or similar
1. Remove the cowling around the steering column.
2. Remove the indicator stalk assembly and disconnect the multi-connector
3. Remove the yellow 'keeper' on the back of the connector
4. Bend the wires of the diode so that the ends are pointing the same way
5. Insert the diode into the connector so that the anode* is in with the Red with blue tracer wire and the cathode* is in with the brown wire.
6. Make sure the diode legs fit in the small gaps 'below' the connector spades.
7. Cut the yellow 'keeper' to allow space for the diode
8. Re-assemble connector
9. Re-fit connector into indicator stalk and replace indicator stalk.
10. Test by first turning on the front fogs (with side lights on) - you should see this on the clocks
11. Turn off the front fogs and then turn on full beam - you should see this on the clocks
12. Re-assemble cowling - end.
*NOTE* Diode cathode is the end with the ring - see this link -> http://desainrumahminimalis101.com/43707-diode-anode-cathode-marking
