I was wondering , I have a leak from the joint where the cat meets the downpipe, but the back box has collapsed I think (rather noisy) could this cause enough back pressure to cause this leak, ?

Wouldn't of thought so cuz the system at the back wouldn't get as hot.

Just east sure if the leak on the flexi joint o. The bottom of the cat was caused by the back box being collapsed a d restricting the flow

If there's a load of fibreglass wadding blocking the backbox I reckon it could definitely increase the pressure on the forward part of the system. Similar thing happened on my K12 when the cat innards got blocked - the expansion joint was forced apart by the pressure filling the cabin with really noxious fumes .

im not sure i have looked just it seems to have become louder and i think its leakingt from the front the noise seems to hav gettn worse over time but not been able to afford a new box
