little bit of an issue with my neighbours k12 s micra ie smoking exhaust.
Car bought with a stretched timing chain now done with the engine running smoothly with plenty of power, how. ever after a few miles the engine started smoking badly from the exhaust.
At first blown head gasket came to mind, that checks out compression's good, exhaust gas readings normal, vacuum gauge 20 inchs at idle,no excessive blow by.
Taking the air box apart revealed a lot of oil build up,way more than usual obviously coming in from the breather.Clamping the feed pipe from the cam cover it returns to normal, the pcv valve is working fine,Im wondering if these engines are prone to this problem or something clogged maybe under the cam cover plate................any ideas
