hi guys,

as my plans to buy an Almera GTi have fallen through

i am now planning on building a 1.3 with 100+ BHP eventually( i want as many gains with out having to just buy a janspeed btw ) but it is going to be a daily driver so i need reliabilty too .....

I have a budget if around £600 - 800, this includes funds for a 1.3.

but i am here to ask you gys what parts i should use?

i am thinking - cams, better clutch ( possibly an Almera clutch with mods ) lightened flywheel, better inlet manifold, possibly a janspeed mani ( but last resort ) possibly bike carbs - or are they too unreliable?

if anybody can think of and name a few of these parts, or even find some second hand for me i would really really apreciate it!

tom hears a list that may be of some use.

perfomance leads and plugs
auto sprint reprofiled 1.3 cams
gas folwed, port and polished head with skimm
1L piston heads (see frank)
janspeed manifold
lightened and balanced crank and flywheel
1.6 sunny clutch

try them and see what $ you have after then look into TB's as they can be quight pricey

p.s there is still a cupple of march engines in my local brakers with 16k on the clock
