Electrical questions (front fog lights)

I'm planning to cut the wire that controls the front fog lights and wiring it up to a switch under here

But how can I trace the wire that look like this

Back through and know I'm tracking the right wire??

Turn on your fogs and find which wires are active

If no multimeter a 12v bulb with 2 wires will do

I don't have a fog switch that works... :/

So if not fog light switch that works how else can I do it??

Then you need to get a switch first

But if I don't know which wire the fog lights are running on in the plug (picture above) then how can I put a switch to it, the I sea is up wire the fogs up to a separate switch (saving me from hunting for a rare+expensive fog light stalk/stem)

Just run wires straight to the relay for them, much simpler.

So step one: remove dash??
Two: follow a new set of wires through to the relay???
Three: wires back out the relay into the button/switch??

Step 1: Find 'Driving lamps' relay under bonnet (is front fogs)
Step 2: Run a wire from 1 of the coil pins on the relay to earth
Step 3: Run a wire from the other coil pin through firewall (find a spare grommet and cut a slit with a knife in it) to one side of switch you mount on dash
Step 4: Run a wire from other side of switch to a live feed on the ignition barrel.

My fog relay in above my fuse box in my dash... :/

You sure that's not rear fog light? On mine I have Headlamps, Driving lamps and Fog lamps all seperate, driving lamps being front fogs. Just pop the bonnet and check the relay boxes under there
