nice they hard 2 fit at all?? not a bad price either :D

i wouldnt say they are to hard to fit (tho havent actually tried before...lol).....but depends on how you feel about dismantling your engine / how much time youve got :)

But then again you could also pay someone to fit it if you like.

Wouldn't be to hard to fit i don't think, as Solarice says if your confident about doing it yourself it would be fine. Prob only need new gaskets and stuff

new gaskets and head bolts. Add about £30 of top for them. Then you gotta put in the cams etc. Finally set the timing when you bolt it on, not an easy task for most on here. Deffo a full weekender type thing.

You do not need to replace head bolts. You do need a good sealer such as Nissan Red for the timing cover and corner of the headgasket. You lads may perhaps find it tricky but its not a hard head to do. To set any Nissan DOHC engine, particularly CG engines to TDC when timing up heres a simple one for ya should you not be replacing chain therefore rendering the yellow timing links on the chain useless:-

To set TDC on number 1 turn crank pulley until you see the intake cam lobes both pointing towards the inlet manifold side of the engine, and at the same time your exhaust lobes will be directly opposite, pointing at the exhaust manifold side of the engine.

Then you can have a quick look at the crank pulley where you will see the timing mark near or on the pointer.

Then just paint the link on each sprocket just above the machined timing mark in each sprocket so you know where to put it back later.

When taking head off just feed the chain through it and let it rest to one side and dont worry about it falling off on the lower sprocket as it has a chain guard to prevent this from happening.

When you put the chain back on you need to pull the slack side up tight (exhaust sprocket side) and turn the exhaust cam slightly using an adjustable spanner until the peg of the cam lines up with the sprocket (chain should be tight attached to the painted mark on the sprocket as you feed it back onto the camshaft.

Then feed over to the inlet cam and do the same thing.

Your tensioner should be pinned up and pre tensioned so bolt it in and when your sure your timings spot on pull out the tensioner pin and away you go, turn engine over twice and see if the marks still line up.
