Early Cg10 gearbox won't select 3rd & 5th

3rd isnt actually so bad, but it does pop out. Fifth won't even go in and first is hard to select. Frank suggested that the lower rear engine mount might be failing, but it doesn't seem to be. There is a tiny bit of float in the ball joint, but nothing that seems enough to cause problems. The top 1/3/5 gears have been a bit harder to select for ages, but the poping out and then not going into 5th at all happened in one journey. Any thoughts on if it can be fixed, or is the gearbag borked.

I had exactly the same problem in my rally car a few years ago and it was the lower rear engine mount, but as you say its not that have you checked the front one too? Essentially what had happened was the whole engine had kicked backwards, obviously not that noticeably but enough for all the gear selecter shafts to bind up and not be able to select the forward (on the stick) gears
