Door armrest removal

I'm doing some colour coding on my interior but can't seem to get the top half of the driver/passenger door armrests off. The haynes manual says to remove the screw covers and undo them but mine doesn't have any covers or visible screws. Will the top half just pull off or will I have to take the whole door trim off?

try looking in the handle section, down towards the floor... maybe a screw in there? or under the leccy window switch

There's no visible screws or covers anywhere. Mine has manual windows too. I've tried prising them off with a screwdriver but they only move a little, they don't even want to pull off

On my K11 facelift, just yank it off. Need some force though(Y)

there are two clips either end of the handle, best way is just pull it hard then there are a few screws under there

the only screws on mine were under the armrest i found out how mine came off by accident pulled the passenger door shut bit too hard and it came off in my hand, oops
