you can get away with just taking the upper hub bolt out and slackening the lower one, then tilt it down and put it on full lock (slacken the 40/42mm shaftnut first tho eh)
All i did on mine was take the ball joint off and the outer nut on the hub. Then pull the whole cv shaft out. I got a full replacement assembly from CBC bearings. Inner outer and the shaft for 118+gst. Easy as pie to do.
