Crossmember change

Tomorrow will be the day (at last) that I change my front crossmember now to do this I need to remove the bumper I know but to remove the bumper do i need to remove the headlights also the Haynes isn't very clear

yes. front grill & headlights. also remove front wheels to remove wheel arch to unscrew the bumper edge from the wings.

i recently had mine replaced all i did was remove the bumper

Well after six hours of drilling, banging, grinding and a lot of swearing the new member is in its place FINALLY. Next stop the welders
