CrispyCleane's Blue Badboy

Hello all! It's been a long time coming (spent 2 years lurking and dreaming of modding my runabout) And the build begins now! Here's my little 1.0 2000 S
Jx0226x.jpg

Bought it at 42,000 miles and there's hardly any corrosion! Since owning this little beaut I've done a few odd bits about it to spruce up 18 years of wear, such as going over all the nasty faded grey plastic trim (apart from the door handles) , an SR spoiler painted with Halfords' finest midnight blue and stuck on with no more nails.

Its a shoddy job but it was all I had at the time. The body is in decent shape, bar a few dings and cracking paint, plus a fantastic keyjob by the previous owner who obviously loved his drink a little too much...

At this point in time the only major work done to it is a Fury Autoworx intake and ebay's finest rev clock, which reads wrong at anything above 1k (anyone got a helping hand for that one?

Most recently I bit the bullet and dusted off the wallet to shell out for some new front brake rotors and EBC greenstuff pads (sorry for the bad photo) and since feeling the difference in the upgrade I've decided its time to really shell out the big bucks, and have got Fury Autoworx coilovers and a Gizfab panhard rod coming in the post soon hopefully!

Keep your eyes peeled for the results of the new lows, and any suggestions of what else should be done to this little beast to keep my love for it burning hot would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies for the long post, this is my first proper blog post on the forum and I've a long way to go to get the quality posts you're all used to seeing.

Nice car, I always really liked that colour. Keep the rust away is the main thing, there's always going to be a few body marks at these cars ages now. I would go for a standard plug and play rev counter upgrade, only problem being is that your mileage changes a bit.

You've been bitten by the modifying big already, it only gets worse from here. I hope those fury parts turn up for you. Gizfab stuff is great though

Cheers guys, I've been drooling over all your K11's for wayyyy too long, glad to finally be a part of the fun too! @LiamC Super S rev clocks are almost legend right now, if you ever spot one please let me know!

Little update, had a small package from wish.com (yes I know...) and this had arrived!

It's sole purpose is to cover up the nasty rubber aerial that's been perishing awfully. Painted it up in intense blue and it's looking cracking!

Did the same to the CAI that's already on the car as the steel was beginning to rust.

Finished product looks lovely!

back at it again, too much B road driving has killed my 165 65 tyres so instead of replacing them for more cheapies I've hopped onto fb marketplace and bagged some nice oz racing 14/6 alloys with general altima 185/55s for the same price as replacement 165s! spigot rings are already on order so an update will be required once I've got them mounted!

They're really nice and perfect size wheels and tyres imo. What's the offsets like?

cheers, I'm chuffed to bits with the find.

they're et36 and fitment looks to be same as stock interior, and almost as much poke as the flipped steels I'm running.

My previous wheels were similar offset, very common for FF jap wheels. I always thought they could do with 20mm spacers on the rear myself but I did like how the fronts sat

youre not wrong there, they tuck a lil bit... but I don't want to have the same scrubbing issues I had with the last set, back bumper bolts bit into the tyres under srs compression. I was going to redo the rest with zip ties instead but now I've got these wheels I don't have much reason too so anymore thankfully

Trust me, I'm around 40mm pokier than you now on my rears and only just about have running issues, 10mm less and I'd have no problems. 20mm will be nice and manageable I'd guess
