I might go down the route of changing the front lights as oppose to altering the bonnet to be different, but **** knows what car I can get some from so that it wont look stupid..

I like your "empty" bumper... is very difficult to cut it? As you can see on my photoshopped avatar I was thinking on painting the "mouth" with black painting.

When you cut the plastic where the number plate is situated, it becomes difficult. There is nothing behind it so you have a big hole/gap to fill somehow.
