Considering a k11

Going to look at a k11 tomorrow (can't find a cheap k10 anywhere )

It's only 150, has a misfire, but that don't bother me as I have my engine sitting around

Just want to know what things to look out for bodywork wise

Rust, rust and more rust, but you'll know a lemon when you see one

Sills and cross members are the usual but on newer k11's the rear spring cup (on axle) is one to look at

If it is rusty it will be obvious.. the front crossmember rust is the common theme I am afraid.
Mine at the moment is very clean but the crossmember was shot..and had to be replaced
Anyway just do it

Inner and outer sills, front crossmember, either sides of the back arches, front left/right floorpan and rear left/right floor pan. That's everyplace I've ever had to weld

Right I've seen the auto micra
It's only £100

It's only 3 miles to my yard......but the engines dead,

Can I tow it, I don't care if I damage the auto box, coz il convert to manual

It should tow fine in neutral although when we towed back my old auto it may well have been causing damage I wouldn't notice as the box was already knackered!

I'm not worried about damaging it, as it'll all be ripped out and replaced

So it will make the journey then?

Personally, I'd load it on a trailer. Why not an auto??? great bits of kit, accelerate like rockets.
