colour matching

hi all
Ok, i thought i'd have ago at spraying my ss kit so went up to "good" old halfrauds and got me some nissan 531 and plastic primer, i only bought enough to do one of the skirts as i just want to test what the colour match is like. now i've finished the skirt and the colour has'nt really matched great, the skirt seems to be a more creamy colour than the car. altho i have only just sprayed it so do i need to give it a few days for the paint to dry properly or is this as good as the colours going to get?

i would get a small can of diamond white, or the whitest you can find, and dust a bit on the skirt until it matches then give it a good coat of lacquer.
btw if its not the best quality laquer you,ll get a slight "tint" so overdo the white a tad !
