I've found a couple of taiwanese shops that sell reasonably priced coilovers for the micra like this one :

They didn't answer my e-mail in english though.
Anyone speaks taiwanese here please?

Micratech your coilovers are great but a bit overpriced in my opinion.
I've found Daiyama coilovers for 500GBP delivered.
I'm not sure if they are camber adjustable like yours.

T, you will hate some of the coilovers you post once you have them on for over 3 days. I lived here in TW since 2001/01/16 and over the years i put three different sets of those junk of my wife's march(yeah, now its my own toy :p) and I literally bent the shaft of one of them....well, maybe you wont try to lift a wheel in tight turns, but if you even had to strain on the mountain road waiting for a tow truck to tow 80km back to the mechanic, you will start looking else where.

Hey Colt, you told me that my coilovers would be terrible as well when I bought them. But they are absolutely awesome :) Just saying that they are all different. It depends on the brand and roads that you drive on daily..

I can highly recommend the B-Crews ones. They are perfect on Australian roads on the soft setting. Plenty of adjustment. Huge killer diameter shocks to handle anything and last a long time. Awesome build quality.. But unfortunately you have to go to Japan to get a set.

Ah well, going to Japan is not that bad, paying a ticket to go there however... Btw. You got a website for the b-crews ones Cisco.

Cisco, I didn't say the ride would be terrible, i believed that I said front 6 and rear 4 is most comfortable setting for road use, however most coilovers are using 8~11kg/mm rate springs for front and 5~9kg/mm for rear on K11s.

Too man auto guys when they talking about dampering in coilovers/struts, they often focus on the pressed down damper, but forgot to focus in rebound damper settings. So it gave too many drivers the idea of hard settings bounces all over the place, but hug corners like gloves. The thing is, the rebound damper settings are the key to buffer out shocks and recoil from springs when a wheel hitted a pot hole and bottomed out. If this setting was too high, then spring does not have enough range to expand when going over the edge of pothole, and not able to compress enough to absorb the shock once the wheel hit the bottom of pothole.

My point is, Monotube construction struts like yours and mine as well as HKS and Blistien, has inheritly shorter travel distance for the piston inside to travel, therefore these struts feel much stable and responsive and firmer than double tubed struts such as KYB(all series), Tokiko (gas), Monroe (used to called Sensatrac, the new one is basically same construction), and on these struts, spring rate matching to strut compress/rebound damper settings needs to be much more precise and calibrated, otherwise the passenger may try to strangle the driver (with hands on the wheels and stick and feet on padels, driver position is much more stable than passenger) when road surface is not smooth and flat...

Whatever.Colt do you know any shop in TW that is willing to sell the set you are using at the moment?In a private discusion that we had you claimed that after trying a couple of different sets your ended up with these.

Tseg, please go ahead and purchase anything you feel like to purchase, really. I do not asking you to purchase anything, after all, it is your money, and your ride, not mine.

Coilovers for k11 retail here in TW range from 11K NTD a set, roughly 460AUD, to 55K NTD per set, and we are not talking about the very high end ones. I did not went thru two sets to make these settings, I went out and purchased over 7 set of different coilovers from different manufactures and study their internal designs, then went over 3 different front/rear springs K rate combine with 2 different range of damper settings. If you do the math, that is 3*2 = 6 combinations and over 2 months of road testing.

Am I making a profit with these? I made 2.5 mil NTD last year from real estate and other 1.0 mil from my career as an UK distribution channel's project manager, do you really think I actually need to make money by begging OEM manufacture to make very limit number sets of these strut/shocks??

Modding car is my hobby and take a entry level car to match performance with something cost double its price is what i take for fun. What you were saying is almost an insult: compare mine with those bargain products is like compare M3 CSL with 318i! No, I did not go flat out with my designs and try to make a M6, the cost to make one set like it would go way up to same price range as a set of Ohlin! Due to the chemicals I selected and parts I chosed to use, if it is not for you, then it is really not for you. (BTW, if you like me to introduce you to Taiwan Dow Chemical distributor whom is a personal friend of mine and also sold the chemicals for stablizing the damper fluid, and ready to make some sizeable purchase in 55 gallon drums, you are welcome to MSN me!)

I have had the shox on the car for a few weeks now, and all I can say is that I am so fond of these shox.
I can have 60km/h around tight 90degree curves and regret I didnt take them on faster..

The car sticks to the tarmac like glue..
And what I feel is most impressive about the shox is the way they rebound.
I can ride over washtrays in the gravel roads up here and hardly notice them.. Talk about fast steady rebound!

All of my carcrazed friends are blown away by the cars upgraded performance..

No need to be upset Colt.
I see that you have spent a lot of money,time and effort to acquire that high level of knowledge and experience which is ablolutely respectable!
I'm not seeking perfection!I need height,stiffness and mabye camber adjustment just to play with corner weight balance and overal handling.
If this is to sacrifice comfort it's okay as long as my chassis/suspension won't break and last long.I want the car to have the entertaining Go-cart feel like the renowed Peugeot 205 and 106 gti.

So to clarify my question.Based on your experience what is the best kit that 11000-20000NTD can buy and if you are willing to help me order because I hardly speak taiwanese.

Someone I know had tried Fk Automotive on a Saxo VTS.He wasn't very pleased plus they were prety expensive.In Europe the best coilovers for the road you can buy are Bilsteins(Extremely expensive) and KW(They don't make a kit for the micra)
