clutch cable

im trying to replace my clutch cable i have had 2 and looked at 3 others and they have all been shorter on the free length than my current one so have been unable to fit it has anyone else had this trouble my micra is a t reg 1999 if possible can you provide me with makes and numbers of ones you've fitted

the whole cable is 1040mm ash, with 80mm of inner cable travel

Hi Frank my cable measurements are
total lenght 985mm
outer cable 758mm
free lenght 93mm
i have found this part number on it 307706F710
what cable can i replace this with i have tried two speedline ones which did not fit there numbers where FKC1285 and FKC1357
