Clicking when streering!

Recently started working on my new 95' K11 1.0l.

Hoowwweeevvveeerrrr, when in gear and steering and recently when travelling at high speeds (Not breaking the limit of course ;)) it has starting making like a clicking almost grinding noise..

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks, Liam!

Try turning the wheel hard lock both ways stationary with the engine on. Does it make the same noise?

I've had it twice, on my golf it was a small leak and topping the fluid up fixed it, on my Subaru the belt just needed tensioning slightly but it was causing the wheel to feel like it was completely locking up and horrible grinding at low speed.

Check if the cv joint boots are gone. Go to a car park turn full lock and drive in circle. When turn left youll hear the right side and viceversa

Will it make the noise if you get to a higher speed in 3rd? I think cv joints have to be really gone to be noisy going straight. Was it louder when turning??

You wont see drops because its grease so its thick. If the rubber flexi boot is cut or damaged the joint drys and metal start to wear away.
