click/tock sound after steering?

I've got a 1999 micra si 1.3 and after I've put the indicator on, made the turn after about 10 seconds (approx) I'll get a tock/knock type sound twice. sounds like its coming from the steering area.

What could it be? It indicates fine drives fine no play in the steering and no odd sounds.

no as it happens a few seconds after you have turned and are driving in a straight line. Sounds like below the steering area.
