Cheap Insurance with Mods

Got a quote from Flux Direct for fully comp insurance on a K11 Micra with quite a few mods including an engine swap, (see blog if interested) and it came to £690!
For third party, fire and theft, it came to £395.
I usually pay £320 annually.
I am 21 year old male.
These are very reasonable figures so I thought I should share in case people are worried about insuring their mods because they think its too expensive.

I do get what you mean but getting any car insured with mods at the age of 21 is always going to be really expensive and £690 is affordable even though it’s double what the stock car is worth!

It's not bad all at considering that I payed £1700 for my first year insurance

I paid £1400 first year with a black box and then it shot down to £600 for second year. Everyone was so surprised at how an 18 year male has £600 insurance!

I got my insurance from elephant insurance (it was a 10 month policy but still gave me a full years no claims bonus after the 10 months).
