Changing wing mirrors help???

Hey msc I've ordered some mirrors and baseplates, just needing some help on removing stock ones and puttin new manual ones back in? Thanks msc

You'll need the door cards off to remove the inner panel/cover plate. Removing that will reveal two machine screws that hold the baseplate and mirror onto the door. Undo these with the window down so that you can support the mirror on the outside through the open window.

Unclip the inner door handle surround, Unclip the winder securing clip, you'll need a thin screwdriver to get in behind the handle. Then unscrew the large self tappers that hold the pull handle on. Once the door hardwear is removed you can unclip the the door card, squeese your fingers between the card and the door, find each clip and pull hard. At least one will pull out of the hardboard not the door, Pull em out with longnose pliers and refit them before putting the door card back on.
You will need to lift the card upwards to unclip the window rubber from the top of the door.

Removing mine again tomorrow for new speakers, less than 2 minutes to rip off. Plus if you've got a door card removal tool it makes it so much easier and faster. A few bob up halfords.

I prefer to use a tool we call a 'fork' down here in Shrops (Y)
