central locking

I know this is along shot but I thought Id try as FFOC dont seem to be able to help.


Basicly the passengers side and rear doors lock fine, it is just the drivers door lock doesnt seem to go far back enough anymore unless its pushed back. Any idea what migh tne causing this problem and a possible solution.

I assume your talking about a focus, but either way you'll need to look at the mechanism. either the connecting rod from the door lock to the motor or the lock button needs adjusting or the motor is worn by the sounds of it.

yes it is the motor thats gone they want £90 for a new one, bah

have you ebayed for one might be able to save some pennies if your fitting it yourself (Y)

can ya not just take the door card off and look inside the door to see what part ya taking off and remember,drawing take some photos so you know how it goes back?

Thats true, but its a bit late now and its booked in for in the morning anyway. Maybe Il try on a easier job
