catalytic converters

well guys it stinks, my cat smells when ever i put the foot down in the car, how do i know which cat to change and does anyone know of cheaper places to get these, i contacted the local dealer here and was quoted £190 for the cat in the mid section

or any other suggestions greatly appreciated

they gave me my one free just take it he said!! my local scrappy gives me loads of part for free such as little little things. Last time i bought anything of him was the p10 feul rail with injectors for £10

dont worry about it, the cat is just doing its job, but if your that worried take it to a mot centre and ask them if they can run a emisson test on it

the egg smell is the first sign that its about to go so actually its not doing its job lol

can't remember chemically exactly whats going on but its something to do with the lack of platinum in the cat

or u can take it off a lot of people take theirs off cos if u go 4 a old k11 they dont have 1 i think

all UK K11's had 2 catalytic converters, the exception being the March only having the cat in the manifold.
