Car Refuses to Start / Run

Got a problem today guys.

Started the car about 20 mins ago and it was fine. Got in gear to pull away and the engine spluttered and cut out.
Started it back up and tried to move again and same thing happened.

Pushed it back to where I was parked and engine just turns over but wont kick into life.

Checked plug 2 and it smelled of fuel.

Tried starting again and it ran for 5 second, before spluttering and cutting out.

Refuses to start now.

Was perfectly okay yesterday.

Ideas?

Yeh if you dont have a mil on on the dash, any codes ?

Had a look, couldn't see anything,

Looks like I might be picking up new car tomorrow so not too fussed about this.

Have you tried removing the fuel pump fuse... I read somewhere that these engines flood. Crank it over till there no fuel pressure? Then try again?

Speaking to Scott about this earlier, said cylinders smell of fuel but not wet, battery not at fault, not checked for spark as nobody to give him a hand cranking while he holds the ht lead.

New car being picked up tomorrow.

This will be garaged. If I can't get it to run then it will be broken. Real shame. It's very sad.

checked the gap on the endoff the plugs also could of been a damp night so there is moisture on the leads spray wd40 over them
