Hi all does the yr 2000 1.0 mk 11
Have a cam chain sensor that will light up
On dash to indicate its starting to wear ??

Nope when the chain tensioners wears you can hear the noise it makes apparently

Best to check the tensioner extension and replacing if need be. The top can be easily checked

Usually you get a rattle when you first start the engine until oil pressure builds up to take up the slack

Well in that case it's good news I have know rattle of any sort ..
But will do a oil & filter change
And buy a workshop manual and look were tensioners are and how to adjust.
