Buying K11

Hi Guys just started on the forum and wondered if you could help me out.
I'm looking at building a fast road N/A K11 1.3.
Is there a specific model or year that is best suited to this application?
Engine plans are high lift/longer duration cams, bigger inlet manifold/throttle body, 4 branch exhaust manifold with a quietish but free flowing exhaust and possibly a ported and polished head.
And of course the necessary chassis components to handle/control it all
