Braking problem

My front drivers side brakes are making persistent grinding noises. The noise is present during driving and gets worse with braking. The disc are badly worn, is it just this causing the issue or is there deeper problems?

Start by changing the disks and the pads on both sides.
Even if that's not the problem it wont hurt to have fresh stoppers!
