Did you not check it out before you bought it?

Best to ask on a Seat forum. They're fairly modern and can be fairly complex.

Agree with skyrema You mention to check everything before you buy any car man

they do have issues with idle. my mate had a ibiza gti and he had abit of cardboard wedged on his throttle under the bonnet so it wouldnt cut out lol. assuming its the idle postion sensor?

Maybe unplug dial then check these wires are not loose.

Edit: if it's rev counter problem.

i did check it over top to toe it was mint!!!but after the hell of a drive home 3hrs it just wont idle but its got this stupid clifford alarm system/ammobilser and it a paint cant start the car half time coz its **** so ganna unplug it see if that works and i did ask on a seat forum but there crap for replying you guys are awesome at replying haha
