Hey guys, I got this K11 SR in january this year and not done anything to it except an oil change and washed it once lol but I do hope to do another turbo project but only a low boost one to be an ornament not going to be using on track days, maybe 1/4 miles though!

Anyway this is her:

I have disk brakes on the back too :D!

While I've got this off the road I got a K12 160SR as a daily and plan to do some mods to that too, very minimal.

Well anyway I wont have much to do with the car for a while cause I'm pretty goosed for money but this gets the ball rolling for me :)

I bought Nis old HKS manifold and plan to buy Davey C's old TMIC to start with a T2 turbo but having a hard time trying to find a decent one :( only plan to run about 5psi to start and get used to pottering around the engine :)

Karl, do you know if your GA15 TB will replace the need for an SR20 MAF or will the standard TB be ok for a low boost application?

As far as I'm aware the standard tb will be ok for a low boost setup 6psi (at a guess), tbh I wouldn't waste your money buying a GA15 tb they cost to much for the gain

You just want to be the only one in the country with a GA15 fitted to a micra ;) I'd maybe fit a GA15 if it meant no need to use the SR20 setup people have. But I'll try find out more.

if you want to spend £120+ for a throttle body be my guest lol but the only thing that makes it any different from the GA14/16 is its bolt on

at some point i will look into the maf values to see which is better, just can't be arsed at the mo
 
Finally got my panhard rod made up yesterday in work :) Recieved the bushes from Noddie too and fitted great, Thanks man!

I also put a left and right hand thread on it so i can have adjustment while it is still fitted to the car :) I dont know if you can see it from this picture though.

I took to a drive to Manchester on Monday too and picked up my new 2.5" Mandrel bent exhaust system from Mov. Thanks alot mate! Pics to follow if needed lol.


I have made a decision on my turbo choice too, I think I want to fit a GT2554R after some lengthy PM's with Low Rider... Again thanks so much for your input and discussion, it helped me with more understanding on the importance of turbo selection.


I also put a deposit on a 42k Auto block i plan to fit to the micra in the near future! While it is out i might try get my flywheel lightened and fit a Helix clutch and new clutch cable.


More to follow start of next year!

Reliability for me... Low boost, only gonna run 5psi, No intercooler, T2 on HKS manifold with 2" exhaust, GA16 injectors but management... I might just do Apexi SAFC? Only want boost not going for power the same way as you have :) ... Which is looking great btw!

Cool, im going for reliability too, theres no harm in power? :p remember its my everyday family (2kids) car and so far (in my eyes) it has been reliable engine wise. Time will tell now that its under some proper load
 
So this is a thing again. Getting a stainless exhaust fitted today and gonna start picking up the bits i need to progress other things! Car is looking bad now too :(

So much work to do so little money and became a father so even less money! Gonna be about more too.

Yeah been fitted for a year or so now! Gonna need to a fast road setup done!

Stainless exhaust sounds great too! Try get a video done at some point!
