battery disconnection

Can anybody explain this ... the battery earth lead came off the battery when I went to start the car ... the car starter just clicked and all the lights went out .. the radio went off ( and lost its settings ) ... I put the earth clamp back on the battery and started the car ... but then found the car was low on power .. hesitant .. would not rev . However a couple of hours later the car is running fine .?????
Does the emu go into some sort of "limp home mode " until it has determined the fault has gone ? , I would like to think the car is ok now . Battery and Alternator also check out ok

the engine is a year 2000 1 lire with coil packs .

Yeah, it goes into a sort of limp mode when the bettery is disconnected more a few minutes.

Nothing really to worry about, but if the problem persists, get it checked out.
