Auto to manual

Hi everyone I've got a chance to buy a 1.4 k11 engine but it's auto does anyone know if they can be swapped Into a manual?

If so what needs to be done?

Really I was thinking I would have to change all sorts.

Would my 1 litre gear box run on it?
Am I also right in thinking I'll need a 1.4 Ecu?

yes mate, and your ecu will be ok (no one has dyno,d the 2 ecu,s to compare them yet tho)

i bought a few for £40 shaun, they were a bit tired tho, £100 ish i guess mate

only difference between an auto & manual engine are the closed-deck water jacket.

the 1.4 is a coil-pack. if ur already a coilpack, it swaps straight over.
if the car was a 1L/1.3L dizzy-engine, making coilpack block work would require swapping over the cam cover, head, timing cover, engine block (missing chain oiler?)...basically not worth it

if the milage is legit its not a bad price delivered shaun, i dont think the 1.4 auto,s are semi closed deck tho

It's just a breakers yard so mileage pobs won't be legit.

Open, semi or closed? Ps I'm new to this but Am I right in thinking closed is stronger?
