Anyone ever considered a 1.6 bluebird transplant?

Has anyone? i was just browsing on eBay at older nissans looking for potential transplants and i saw a 1.6 manual bluebird? I was thinking get a 1.6 bluebird engine with 5 speed manual box, CBR carbs (assuming it is carb'd, waiting on some pics of the engine itself), and a straight through? Maybe some reprofiled cams too? Muck about with the ignition a bit?

Could make an interesting project? I've basically considered getting another K10 to do up for track days and stuff *nudge* so i can keep my current one as a run about too. That way i can have one packed with ICE and one packed with power :grinning:

bobs fitted a primera 1.6 engine to a k10 so i can imagine it would be much more difficult to do a bluebird conversion, some do run on carbs but not all but either way it'll prob be quite straight forward

they are a great engine but the sump is very far over to one side, a bit of chassis leg modifying needed but its possible!

how hards the chassis modifying? sounds a bit in depth to me, i don't really think i can be bothered lol

might just carb + full exhaust one and leave it at that. and maybe cams.
